It’s never too early to start introducing your little one to the kitchen. There are specific cooking skills tailored to your child’s age to ensure that they’re appropriately learning and exploring the kitchen.
Ages 3 and under, through lending a helping hand by pouring ingredients into bowls, stirring, and tasting foods your child will experience sensory play.
Ages 3-5, kids are able to start practicing cutting with a butter knife and start with the baking basics. Also, at this stage, your little chef can begin to prepare meals like pizza and smoothies.
Ages 6-8, at this stage, you’re able to give your child more responsibility and pride when it comes to cooking by packing their own lunch, learning more about stove basics, and food presentation.
Ages 8-10, kids are able to help with meal planning and shopping, breading meat and vegetables, and safe handling of sharp knives.
